    I like the EUV, but I would want this decked out version, which adds $5K to the base price. At that point, the Model 3 isn't that much more expensive and comes with a much faster charge rate (which is important for rare road trips). The only thing that makes the EUV worth it to me is GM's promotion of paying for a charger installation in your home, but the promotion only runs through deliveries made through June and, unfortunately, EUVs are hard to come by before then.

    Test drove a standard 2LT Bolt way way too expensive for 200 miles and under of range for 36k. fantastic driving car the torque was insane literally could put my foot down a little over half and the tires would spin thought my diesel was torquey haha. No coal rolling though :(

    I just test drove the Bolt EV and found the entertainment screen weirdly placed (you can see it in this video at 6:18). It's on such a steep angle that unless I actually shifted to my right and leaned forward I couldn't see what was on the screen, especially in bright light. It's too bad it's not adjustable for the driver's height. I see from this video that the screen seems the same in the EUV. Ugh!

    what I like to know.. any maybe it is just me. But Chevy made this to fail.. why not just bring the Chinese, European and Indian version of this car here. they are both made in the same plant. but the Chevy Menlo is wider. longer and faster and a lot better looking and has 150 quick charge. so why dose China and the world get the better version of this car? it is like Chevy wants to fail. I assume the CEO's are not that smart and do not under stand that all new cars are to be it is 100% electric world wide by 2035, some places as early as 2030.. so why not put their best foot forward in the US market? or are they just going to let the Chinese auto industry take over our markets?

    Oddly the exterior looks like a ford ecosport on the back, a hyundai kona in the front and some kind of hyundai interior. At first i had to really look to see if it was a chevy bowtie.

    I know this video is a few months old now .. but the Tesla model 3 RWD only for $40k has an EPA range of 260+miles ..real world that’s like 220-230miles so this EUV is not too bad .. just don’t know why GM did not do a totally redesign.. I don’t really like any of the bolt designs..

    Hmm, Doug keeps saying the bold EUV is a good bargain, let's see, to actually get the super cruise, you need the Premier trim of Bolt EUV which is $40695, while for Ford Mach-E, it's BlueCruise is a $2.6k option you can add to the lowest 'Select' trim, so Mach-E will end up being $45945, but Ford still has $7500 tax credit, so Mach-E Select ended up to be $2250 cheaper. If you go with Mach-E CA route 1 trim which has Bluecruise hardware built-in, your final price would be $43400, which is $2705 more than the Bolt EUV, but Mach-E CA route 1 has 305 miles of range while Bolt EUV has only 250 miles. Not to mention Mach-E is bigger and more comfortable. Fords' (previous) copilot 360 was using Mobileye EyeQ3, while the BlueCruise is based on Mobileye EyeQ4 (which in Mach-E spec sheet was referred to as Active Drive Assist Prep Kit before but now is changed to just BlueCruise). Coincidentally GM's SuperCruise is based on Mobileye EyeQ4 as well. So I expect them to have similar performance. GM's HD Map has twice as many highway mapped. Maybe Mobileye has a base set of highway mapped in North America and GM built upon that in the last several years but those data belongs to GM so Mobileye can't share it with Ford. Ford has to scan the highway themselves. GM has been too conservative with Bolt EUV, they should have made it bigger with longer range and make SuperCruise more widely available.

    It's strange how he didn't mention that Supercruise isn't included for free; It's an optional add on, which makes the EUV just as expensive as the Model 3.

    The brand emblems inside the lights are to thwart the Chinese aftermarket parts makers. Prior to including those emblems, the aftermarket made almost exact clones for 25% of OEM Cost. Bet these headlights are $350 apiece from Chevrolet.

    Comparaison avec la Tesla model 3 est complètement ridicule, problème de peinture, ajustement des panneaux de carrosseries, matériaux aussi ba de gamme à l’intérieur.     If I'm going to spend $30 to $40,000 on a car I want to be able to get in it and go from coast to coast non-stop. You cannot do that with electric car without charging. I think they need to lower the price significantly make them in the high teens to mid 20s

      Of course you still have to stop for fuel in a gasoline or diesel vehicle but it only takes 10 minutes to fill up a tank and you're back on the road. You don't have to wait an hour or two for your batteries to charge

    The fact that this car has apple carplay, a sunroof, heated AND VENTILATED seats, that's a huge plus to me vs a Model 3 or Y for a sub 30k car I'm very impressed.

    Had a 2018 Volt went to a 2020 Bolt. The Volt had the best ride quality, sleep all day long in that passenger seat. The Bolt is very punchy, and nibble with impressive range.

    I think it’s a solid solid good value car in a market that will be incredibly hot. We have a 2021 Tesla Model 3 that we love… but for our second EV this could be a contender.

    Very informative video, Doug. Thank you! I agree there are some interesting design choices throughout. I don't like the styling and positioning of the headlights, brake lights, and that faux grille cover shouldn't exist.

    That tail light design is horrific. Especially with that flimsy piece of plastic they call a bumper. Chevy must have some sort of premium markup on that piece of plastic and plan on raking in money once these things get rear ended--which will happen. A lot. People already ride your bumper in the city where 99% of these will be sold and driven. The person behind you will never see your turn signal.

    Don't forget there's still an updated 2022 Bolt EV for about 2k cheaper. Both the EV and EUV are cheaper than a Model 3 by 7k and 5k respectively. They might not be as sporty, but they have nicer interiors and a pretty appealing price.

    These car review guys crack me up. 47/100? In my mind, anything else rated 47/100 would equal total crap. Also, if this car is 2/10 for acceleration, is a Prius -3000/10? These guys drive fast cars all the time, which seriously clouds their perspective. Just for reference, the new ID4 is 8.4 seconds 0-60. The Bolt is a quick car, its just not a M3P or RS3. He also touts the value and features of the car for 20 minutes, then says "it's expensive for what it is." (insert Tim Allen puzzled grunt). Well, which is it? To get the best automated (sorry Tesla people but its true) driving assist system for south of 40k is a great value in it of itself. Period. The highway is where people want and need the assistance, and also where the technology is the safest for other drivers who have not consented to be part of a giant experiment in the way that Tesla has unleashed on the world through their army of data gathering guinea pigs.

    Bolts with 100 thousand miles have more battery capacity still left than the Teslas. The previous Bolt did have less comfortable seats.

    "This price point" - since when was over 30k - chopped liver price point? More than too many people earn in a year - I expect even less cost cutting, not more. Even a bit cheaper miata can be covered in Alcantera. Way to not relate to people, who desperately need transportation, and there's not even a shitbox out there for $1200 or $2400 a year.

    That is not a good idea for the dummies not to light up. They're more eye level with the driver behind you and they more prominent. They grab the driver's eye more than the lower lights. He'll be looking at the wrong lights when you press on the brake or turn. I about guarantee you the percent of people that get rear ended will be on the rise for this vehicle.
